Pearl Harbor: Firing the First Defensive Shot

It was at last my senior year in high school. We were so excited to be graduating at the end of this school year. We had several new teachers that year because the school had enlarged. One of the new teachers was a Chemistry teacher named Mr. Outerbridge.  None of us knew at the time he would change our lives as he had the lives of many others 30 years prior.

Let me introduce you to Mr. Outerbridge. He was an older gentleman probably about mid 70’s in age. He always had a lot of neat stories to tell when we completed our chemistry lessons for the day. William Woodward Outerbridge was born in Hong Kong, China, on 14 April 1906. He matriculated at MMI from Middleport, Ohio, and graduated from the high school program in 1923. A member of “E” Company, he was a cadet private and held membership in the Yankee Club and, ironically, in the Stonewall Jackson Literary Society. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, in the Class of 1927.

One day in December he told us we would take a break from Chemistry. He needed to tell us a true story about himself and Pearl Harbor. Of course all of us thought we knew all about Pearl Harbor since we have been taught about that since our earliest memories. Little did we know we had a true war hero in our midst. That man was Captain William Woodward Outerbridge, Captain of the USS Ward. The Ward was advised by the USS CONDOR that a mini-sub was headed to the entry channel of the port of Pearl Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii.

At the beginning of World War II, Captain Outerbridge skippered the USS Ward, a recommissioned ship built during the World War I period.  Reportedly in his first command and on his first patrol off Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on December 7, 1941, Outerbridge and the USS Ward detected a Japanese two-man midget submarine near the entrance to Pearl Harbor. The USS Ward detected the midget sub at 6:45 AM and sank it at 6:54 AM, firing the first shots in defense of the U.S. in World War II. Captain Outerbridge was reportedly awarded the Navy Cross for Heroism.

Noted for firing the first shots in defense of the United States during World War II – just prior to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor – then Captain William W. Outerbridge served as the skipper of the destroyer USS Ward. He reported the action and the sinking of the submarine before the attack by Japan.

During World War II, Captain Outerbridge served in both the Pacific and the Atlantic, taking part in operations at Pearl Harbor, Normandy and Cherbourg, France, and at Ormoc, Mindoro, Lingayon Gulf and Okinawa.  He also participated in the carrier task force strikes against Tokyo and the Japanese mainland.
Outerbridge later both attended and taught at the Naval War College; he also taught at the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. William Outerbridge retired from the Navy in 1957 as a Rear Admiral (RADM).

RADM Outerbridge married the former Grace Fulwood of Tifton, Georgia.  They were the parents of three sons.  The Admiral died on 20 September 1986.  His last address was Tifton, Georgia.

In 2002, the submarine was discovered in 1200 feet of water off Pearl Harbor with the shell holes in the coning tower confirmed Outerbridge’s report.

Syria on the Eve of Destruction: America, Russia, China and WWIII- Part Two

In the years between WWI and WWII, the world was in tumult. Wars, insurgencies, and insurrections did not end after the Great War, but actually intensified, however on a much smaller scale than WWI. It is important to note that WWII was basically a continuation of WWI with some fundamental differences and shifts in Alliances. It was as if WWI had simply been put on pause because of the sheer amount of casualties and money spent,  and because everyone was tired of war. There were still scores to settle and old hatreds burning. In part two of this four part examination of the imminent war with Syria and possibly the World, we will briefly go over the years between WWI and WWII, WWII very briefly, and the beginning of the Cold War, and all the wars by proxy afterward, and how that has contributed and led up to the breaking point that we are at now.

THE TIME BETWEEN WWI AND WWII: 21 YEARS- 1918 to 1939

Early on, there was a strong push by communists inside Germany, too. Red Socialism was sweeping Europe, particularly Eastern Europe. The “Spartacist” communist revolt was attempted in Berlin in January, 1919. It was quickly squashed by German forces, but a new type of radicalism was starting to grow among Germany’s youth and angry veterans of the first World War. But it would be a time before the Nazis were formed officially.

The German National Assembly met at Weimar in 1919. A couple of months later, the Treaty of Versailles is submitted to the German delegation by the Allies. Something to note: Hitler had always felt that the armistice was severe in the conditions that the treaty imposed on Germany, saying that it was far more brutal than what Germany had imposed on the Soviet Union after it withdrew from WWI. Regardless, the German authorities ended up signing the treaty nonetheless, but Hitler later used this to his advantage as one of his main arguments and rallying cries for hostilities to begin in what ultimately became WWII.

On the Central Powers side of things (Germany, Austria-Hungary), Germany’s national pride, stature, territory, and pocketbook took a crushing blow, suffering staggering loses in all aspects of its existence, while Austria loss massive amounts of territory, and Hungary became independent.

On the Allies side of things went the spoils of war, but not everyone was happy. America, Britain, and France got the lions share, while Japan and Italy walked away feeling cheated, having seem very little of the spoils. It is important to point out that it took the Allies six months to agree with one another what their treaty demands were on the Central Powers. Much of it was because they could not easily agree on who got what from the victory of the Great War. When they finally decided, Britain, America, and France made an unofficial alliance inside the Allies, and backed each other in agreement, forcing Italy and Japan to accept much less than the other three. This was not forgotten by Italy and Japan and they felt used. Russia was excluded because of the fall of the Russian Empire, the murder of the Tsars, and the forming of the Soviet Union by the Bolshevik Communists, which withdrew from the war and signed a treaty with Germany. Serbia, which seemed small in comparison to all that was going on then, became Yugoslavia.

Syria on the Eve of Destruction: America, Russia, China and WWIII- Part One

The stage is set, the pieces are in place, all somebody has to do is pull the trigger. The question is who will be the first to jump, and who will be the first to blink? If no one blinks, and I don’t think they will, the world is on a collision course with World War III. As usual, it is the same “Big 3” at the forefront of this rapidly developing emergency; America, Russia, and China. Unfortunately, it looks like America, under the incompetent leadership of Barack Obama, may be the first to make a move in this crisis, with the situation in Syria being the catalyst. However, this is not all of America’s responsibility, or fault, so we are going to take an in-depth, but as concise is as possible look back in history, all the way to the present, as well as at the prophetic Scriptures of the Holy Bible and the predictions of Nostradamus.

America, Russia, and China have been aligned to bump heads for a long time. This is nothing new. But, we are going to look at the reasons why we are here, why we need to take this very seriously, and to remember one very important thing: WE ARE ALL AMERICANS. Soon, it will not matter if you are a Liberal or a Conservative, Democrat or Republican, or a Believer or a Non-Believer. We are very possibly on the brink of the fight of our lives and generation. In order to survive, we are going to have to do what we always do, and band together to fight a common enemy. We also have to remember, that regardless of what the foolish Obama Administration drags us into, that Obama will not be the POTUS in a little over two years. Even if we are in the middle of WWIII, he will not be allowed to be re-elected, even under emergency powers. We will have to clean up the mess he has made, and right or wrong, fight our way out through to the other side and save our country. Let’s take a look at why this is happening.

WORLD WAR I-

As for the political aspects of this situation, I am only going to reach as far back as WWI and the turn of the 20th century to show how we have come to be wrapped up in this conflict (s) in the present day. Remember, Syria is just the tipping point, not truly the cause. Observe.

Through WWI and WWII, you will see an interesting pattern emerge. I am going to try to keep this from being purely a history lesson, but in order to understand, you have to know the general and full history around the two great wars. Often, the only focus you will hear or see on WWI and WWII is the aggression of Germany, the heroism of America and the Allies, and the Holocaust that the Jews suffered. While these are all important components of the two World Wars and not to be disregarded, they are only parts of it. The circumstances and world-shaping that occurred from both of these wars has much more to them. I will touch on them here. I want you to keep in mind, also, that every war, every single one of them after WWII, has been nothing but proxy wars between America, Russia, and China. Remember this, too: The Cold War never ended, we just re-named it after political and geographical shifts. The players are still the same, only the name has changed. You will hear many familiar names and nations in this article that we have heard about in history for the last 100 years. There is more than ideology at work here. There is also money, old agreements, politics, and spiritual warfare at play. Whether those that wield the power of the sword, purse, or pen realize it, this is a much more epic and divine struggle than they, or even you and I understand.

War Drums Beat as the World Stands on the Brink of Armageddon

The war in Syria is not a breaking news story. It is over 2 years old, and there are nearly 200,000 dead, with millions of Syrian refugees that have nowhere to go, no homes, or are trapped. The thin, red line that Obama mentioned about chemical weapons use by anyone, was crossed by Syrian President, Bashir al-Assad, a long time ago, and nothing happened. Chemical weapons were used again today in Syria, with hundreds of people dead. 

It is also not news that the U.S. has a Naval Fleet off the coast of Syria or that U.S. Special Forces have been training with Jordanian troops for an eventual armed conflict with Syria, specifically designed for a joint force operation to secure Syria’s chemical weapons. This has been going on since before the Syrian civil war. 

The fact that Russia and Iran have been supporting and sending weapons to Syria for years, even after the outbreak of the civil war there, is no secret, either. The fact that Russia and Iran do not want America involved is Syria, and have threatened severe consequences if we are to get involved there militarily in any context, again, is no mystery.

Here is what is new with the situation in Syria and a few reminders about what our so-called president was supposed to “change” about America that he has lied about like so many other things.

1.) The American People do not want to go to war in Syria or any war that is not absolutely necessary to the preservation of our nation.

2.) The American Military (for the most part) does not want to go to war in Syria. See rule number one.

3.) The American naval fleet off the coast of Syria is positioning, with four destroyers in particular, maneuvering into strike formation in order to launch Tomahawk Cruise Missiles against targets in Syria.

4.) There happens to be a Russian naval base in the way of that, in between our fleet and Syrian targets, off the coast of Syria.

5.) America and the American People definitely do not want a war in any way,shape, or form with Russia.

6.) Russia and the Russian People do not want a war in any way, shape, or form with America, either.

7.) Nobody in their right mind in the entire world wants to see a war between Russia and America, no people, anywhere, will benefit from that.

8.) It only takes one errant missile, one shot down jet, one killed soldier on either side to start a downward spiral in an already tense and cool relationship between America and Russia, that could lead to an armed conflict between the two nations, and possibly all out war.

9.) Obama is a coward.

10.) Putin is not and he will not hesitate to strike, at least in a limited fashion, against American forces, because that is just who he is. You do not become a Colonel in the KGB by being a coward or by not dropping the hammer without remorse when necessary, and maybe most importantly, he just does not respect Obama.

Our enemies the world over are emboldened by our lack of leadership and a strong man at the helm of the presidency. Like him or not, this would not be an issue if George W. Bush, or even Bill Clinton was in office. Vladimir Putin is one of the most formidable enemies America has ever known and the last one we want to bump heads with if we are not in it 100% and for a good reason. Syria is not a good reason.

I am as patriotic, proud, and sure of our military as anyone, more so even than most people. I am not a defeatist, either, and I believe that if we had to, we could throw everything we had at Russia and China both at the same time, and still have a pretty good chance of winning, but I absolutely do not trust or believe in the man who is calling himself the President of the United States right now. He does not have the leadership, experience, or stomach for confrontation on this scale. He likes to use the law and the shadows to hide behind. This type of conflict would not provide him with the cover that he requires.

If anything, in his arrogance and inexperience, he would pridefully overreact to any such situation and start World War III. Here are those reminders I mentioned earlier. When Barack Obama was running for office in his first term, he said that he was going to get us out of the Middle East, starting with a draw down in Iraq in 2010 and a withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2014. Here is what we got instead.

We withdrew large amounts of forces in Iraq, but we are still there and will be for some time. We are still in Afghanistan with talks of us leaving in 2014, but no real plan in place, meanwhile Obama is negotiating with our enemies, the Taliban, who are still terrorists no matter how you cut it. Obama ordered air strikes and naval assaults on Libya and we went to war there. We increased drone strikes and Black-Ops in Pakistan, Yemen, Mali, The Philippines, Somalia, and Iran under Obama, he propped up the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and sent them weapons and money. Everything he has touched in the Arab Spring of hopeful revolution has changed to bloody civil war. We are getting ready to go to war with Syria now. Where does this stop and the Obama Administrations lies end? Obama is not just the great divider of America, he is the great divider of the Middle East and the wider world.

We are being led by a man who is either completely incompetent or who is intentionally nefarious. What could be worse than that? This: a man who is both incompetent and nefarious. Regardless of the reasons, Barack Hussein Obama is leading us toward destruction in this nation, both physically and spiritually. He is at war as much with what makes America, America, as he is with his ideological enemies in the Middle East, (that being Shiite Muslims), as Obama obviously supports Sunni Muslim governments in the Middle East.

Let us pray that war with Syria does not play out and that God speeds up the time so that the next two and a half years of Obama’s reign goes by quickly. Whatever happens, we cannot let another Liberal into the White House, especially Hillary Clinton. If you think it is bad now, America will cease to exist under her rule, and the messes we find ourselves in will be amplified.

Obama Lies, America Dies… An Open Letter to Barack HUSSEIN Obama

What the hell… Whoever you are…

For the last five years we have watched as you have shucked and jived, exaggerated, distorted and outright lied about many things of significant importance to the American people. You have interjected yourself in events for the sole purpose of bringing attention TO you, yet feign ignorance of issues that show you are totally clueless as to what it REALLY means to be the leader of the free world.

You close the doors of The People’s House to the People, yet continue your lavish partying with “celebrities”. You ignore facts and evidence that run counter to your support for your muslim bretheren, allowing members of that “brotherhood” into highly sensitive positions throughout the government in order to cleanse various departments of all things “anti-muslim”. Your Defense Dept. classifies the actions of a known enemy sympathizer as “workplace violence”, while others such as the DHS, CIA, FBI etc. are characterizing whistleblowers and other patriotic Americans as “terrorists”.

We cannot display the Ten Commandments in public spaces, schools no longer allow students to recite The Pledge of Allegiance.  Men and women of faith in the military face punishment for exercising their faith, yet muslims are allowed to practice their faith unmolested in schools or wherever they demand.

This didn’t start with you, Mr. Transparency, but you have not followed up on any of your promises to curtail the actions of these departments. Instead you allow these things to increase. You bow to foreign leaders, make apologies and excuses. Your foreign policy is a sham, and domestically you and your administration have done nothing but work towards the destruction of our economy, set race relations back 50-60 years, and feverishly work to reshape our education system into one of indoctrination.

It is crystal clear that you and your acolytes want the rest of America to be ashamed of our heritage and culture, but I tell you now that what you are doing will not stand. There is a groundswell forming that you and your supporters will not be able to withstand. Your so called domestic army, just as strong as the military,  will wither and blow away as so much dust if ever called to act against the American Patriots who choose to stand for our Country and Constitution.  The attempts by you, your party and the RINO’s to run roughshod over our founding documents and principles will continue to face mounting resistance, regardless of E.O.’s or other edicts. I shall never kneel before you, nor shall I pray to you.

You have no concept of what it really means to be an American, I suggest you learn and act accordingly, or step down before you are forced to do so.

Coptic Christians Killed as Obama, World Watch

I have a feeling that if Muslims were being slaughtered in Mosques and targeted specifically because of their religion anywhere, but especially in the Middle East, there would be multiple U.N. mandates, world out cry and disgust, and the mainstream media groups would be reporting it as breaking news on all channels. But, if you are a Christian, particularly of the Coptic sect in Egypt (one of the oldest Christian groups in history), you do not matter as much. In fact, the Coptic Christians in Egypt and other Christian groups in Syria, and around the Middle East and North Africa are being targeted, harassed, attacked, and murdered for the fact that they are Christians.

Where is the collective gasp of global condemnation? Why are only some of the excellent, but smaller conservative news sites like Breitbart and The Blaze the only one’s heavily reporting this? Why is it alright for Muslims to kill Christians because of their beliefs, but a Christian, even here in America, faces possible hate-crime charges for simply speaking out against Islam. I guess it is in line with the same twisted thinking that can call George Zimmerman a “white man” and a racist for what happened to Trayvon Martin, but two black teens and a bi-racial teen can kill a “white man” in Oklahoma, and even specifically state it is out of hate, but it does not get reported. But, I digress…

That is a different story, but the relationship between it and the slaughter of the Coptic Christians in Egypt is found in the mentality of the mass-media in this country and abroad. Make no mistake about it, Good People, whether Christians are actually being shot, beheaded, and blown up (which is happening), or the media that has a responsibility to report these matters are either silent, or under-reporting it, there is a very real war against Christianity going on. In the Middle East, it is a shooting war. Here in America, it is a war of ideologies, omission, the stripping of religious freedoms from Christians, and pressure and intimidation against Christian groups.

The wheel keeps turning…How many times have civilizations risen, only to crumble to dust in the 6000 odd years of this current cycle of recorded history? We can look back into the archeological record and find the evidence, we can corroborate myths and legends to form a pretty accurate picture of what happened to the Sumerians, Assyrians, Greeks,  Romans etc. We can refer to documentation, religious texts and other means to trace the end of the Aztecs and other “indigenous” tribes around the world.  We can do all this and more, yet it seems we really have learned nothing.

I’m not a scholar, I’m just an average person in all respects, yet it doesn’t take an Einstein to look back and see the disturbing similarities between the fallen empires of the past and what we are witnessing in the world today. We have technology the likes of which have never been seen before, we speak to each other from any point on the globe at the speed of light. We are taking the first tentative steps off this planet toward the stars. We can cure the once incurable if we so choose, yet we allow  a corrupt few to dominate the masses. We cower in fear in the presence of those who claim divine right, or by virtue of obscene wealth, the power to rule over us.

How many times throughout history have people stood against tyrants, only to have their society fall into ruin and chaos? How many times have humans knocked themselves so far back as to have to start from scratch? HOW MANY TIMES?!  With today’s technology, we, common human beings, have the ability to move mountains. Each and every one of us are unique and have the ability, the natural-born right to stand against the corrupt and despotic. We have the right to say no and determine for ourselves what direction to take on the path of life.  Look to the people of Egypt, descendants of one of the earliest great civilizations… 33 MILLION individuals became aware of their power to become one against tyranny, chose to say NO to the Muslim Brotherhood and their ally, the American GOVERNMENT. They choose to determine for themselves what government to have serve their needs, not what outsiders wish to impose on them.

This is the spirit that must be harnessed by all people yearning to be free. This is the biggest fear of the old money, so-called “powers that be”.

Those that call for a “New World Order” are quaking in their boots now that the “cattle” are stirring, becoming aware of the great power we hold.  We must not give up one more ounce of control to these evil cretins.  Every bit of control we give over to government ( especially that given over “for our own good”) puts us one step closer to an assured demise. We must not allow these creatures of the dark side to continue driving wedges of race, cultural difference, or political correctness between us to divide and conquer. We must drive those who wish to subjugate us beyond the brink of extinction, not merely underground as has been done in the past, only to have them rise up and threaten us again.

Many of the Earth’s major religions share common stories of creation, life, death and renewal.  Today, civilization seems to be rushing to the Final Conflict between good and evil.  Jesus may return astride a white horse, with a sword coming from His mouth, but it will be US doing the fighting against the evil that occupies the earth today…That is what people don’t understand, it will be PEOPLE fighting PEOPLE, not angels against demons. God can beat the Devil whenever he wants…He wants US to prove our strength and worthiness… at least that’s how I see it because that is how I’ve been raised. I’m not assuming to speak for other religions, but I will take a guess that their visions may be similar.

Speaking now strictly of Americans… We should be ashamed at what we have let our nation become. Regardless of what our so-called “leaders ” of today would have us believe, this nation may not have been founded solely on the Word of God, but surely on its principles.  What is so wrong with “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you?” Just what is so hideous in our Constitution and Bill of Rights that they should be changed at the whim of Obama and his perverted cohorts?  What makes them believe that they can run roughshod over the beliefs and desires of those they have been elected to serve?

America has become a modern-day Roman Empire, rife with corruption and lawlessness within the halls of power, its military stretched thin by ill-conceived wars of modern economic conquest. Welfare programs giving bailouts to the rich, handouts to the poor, all while breaking the backs of those in the middle who pay for it all.  The First Family jet-setting around the world while telling us to tighten our belts. Letting enemies to our way of life into our government, OUR White House, while we mere commoners must stay outside and not soil their surroundings.

Wake up America, Red, Black,Yellow, White, Brown, and every shade in between…Take a lesson from Egypt and every other country where people are willing to use sticks and stones against armored troops in their fight to be free…The final battle is coming, it is time to get off this wheel of insanity, break the cycle and move on to a new age, one of peace and dare I say enlightenment. Our governments have the ability to return us to the stone age, to oblivion if we let them. We must take the reins back now and destroy those who would do us harm. We must destroy the evil lurking among us once and for all. Good over Evil. Light over Darkness. Which do you choose?

Betrayal

I, Bret Wayne Bourg, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God…

The American servicemen who boarded an aging CHINOOK on the 6th of August, 2011, had each taken that oath, not thinking twice about it. They had endured the pain and agony of their training  just so they could be a part of a team, a family dedicated to one another and the country they served. The best in their fields, the elite. Just three months before, this team was involved in an operation of historical proportions, one the world would have never known they had participated in, if not for the loose lips of a Vice President. These men, sworn to defend the ideals of a document written over two hundred years ago, were now the most hunted men in Afghanistan. What they were thinking as they boarded will never be known. Were they questioning the use of an aircraft not suited for the mission at hand?  Did they know there would be no supporting fire before reaching the LZ?  Did they have any inkling they would be flying into a full blown, thoroughly prepared ambush?  Probably not, but someone did.

The ceremony to send the fallen home in the aftermath of their betrayed mission was sullied by the words of  one of Satan’s Imams, condemning the souls of these men to hell for eternity. How can anyone with a heart and half a brain just sit back and do nothing ? So many Americans did that when the news first broke, and are still doing so…despicable…just…despicable.

Fast forward…Sept 11, 2012.  Again a situation where people in charge KNEW that a dangerous , deadly scenario was unfolding days in advance, yet when the axe fell, orders were given to “stand down”. Regardless of the reasons for the ambassador and his aide being there, this administration watched in real time as Stevens and three others were being murdered and rescue assets were forced to stay put. For weeks the lies flew as Obama’s minions did everything they could to protect his card playing ass. Denying the terrorist aspect of the attack, flying to Vegas the next day to party and “fund raise”, putting a man in prison for a poor quality video that few had ever seen, all in a sophomoric attempt to keep Obummer’s hands clean. The lies and obstructions continue, almost a year after the event. Survivors have been spread all over the country, their names allegedly changed, families most likely threatened if they dare talk. And still Americans sit and do nothing, the vast majority falling for Obama’s weak excuse of “phony scandals”.

These are just two of the most egregious betrayals thrust upon us by this administration. It didn’t start with Obama, but “Mr. Transparency” has been anything but. To all you fence sitters out there…GET OFF YOUR ASSES AND PAY ATTENTION. Your country is being stolen out from under you! Your government cares nothing for your well-being, whether you have a job, health care…you are nothing more than a human asset to be used, then tossed aside when your utility no longer serves their purpose.  DON’T TAKE MY WORD FOR ANYTHING, LOOK IT UP FOR YOURSELVES. Take off the blinders and pull yourselves away from the television and other forms of mainstream media. Forget Honey Boo Boo or the frigging Royal Baby, the Kardashians…American Idol.  Bread and Circuses. History is repeating itself, only now those in charge have the means to vaporize each and every one of us if we don’t stand together NOW and TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK!
